The staff is rude and disorganized. They have no sympathy for a dying patient and her family, strictly enforcing a 2 visitor per room with security escorts for violators even when approved by staff on the floor with the patient. I was born at this hospital in the early 1960's when it was the size of a strip mall. All my life it's been ragged on as a terrible hospital. I was sent to another hospital on Friday for a "STAT" CT Scan. I drove more than an hour to get there only to be sent on a wild goose chase for another hour and ended up leaving with no scan. Every single person I encountered today from check-in through my exit was kind and seemed to genuinely enjoy helping people. I have never had a CT scan with contrast so I was quite nervous. I am a patient and have 2 doctors with this practice. I just spent 1 hour on hold to speak to the office. You're number 4 in line, 3 in line. When I finally was transferred the message was, " we are unable to complete your call due to technical difficulties. " why didn't you say that at the beginning of the call? So frustrating that there is no direct phone number to your doctors practice. Everyone ends up in the same queue. I tried to use the portal but my doctor was removed. Do better Tidalhealth.
