Frustrated in Texas Ordered 2 tickets to the George Strait concert for May 1st, on line 1 minute after they went on sal April 27, 2 twenty-one dollar tickets cost me 69.09 dollars and as of this date April 7th, I have not received my tickets as promised. the San Antonio ph. no. is totally automated and no one will answer the phone.
Small, dirty, poorly organized, and liars This place is bad: Small, dirty, and poorly organized. I called Roseland Ballroom on the day of the event to ask about camera policy. They told me absolutely no cameras. I asked, "Not even disposable or point and shoot cheapies?" Angry Roseland Voice: Absolutely no cameras will be allowed into the venue tonight." Sure enough, we show up and everyone with a camera, even larger professional quality ones, is being allowed in. It was not worth the trip - see your favorite band somewhere ... read more
Ticket Master Like the convenience of being able to buy on line but did not like the fact that they charge so much. Paid 70.00 for 2 20.00 tickets.CRAZY. Will never do that again
roseland the first time i went to the roseland was a couple years ago to see alice cooper on halloween night, it was a blast not only were the tickets cheap enough there really isnt a bad spot in the place.
Pricy indeed This place is pretty much pointless now since you can buy tickets to a show online now. However, if know a show will sell out within the first few minutes, this place might be the place to go cause you don't have to dell with laggy internet connection. you also get your ticket right away which is cool since I sometimes have other things that come out that disable me from going to an event.
Good venue I like the fact that the stage is very high up that way even if you're in the back you can see just fine. I also like the seating on the side against the wall for those who don't wish to stand. The sound isn't the best, but other than that, it's awesome.
Let's rock This place rocks. No seats to get in your way, everyone pays the same price and you don't have to push anyone or jump up and down to see the stage. Don't feel like standing? Sit on the carpet lined side where it's comfy. Great place to see your favorite band because it's not too big, and it's easy to get to the front.
No vibe for rock'n'roll Roseland is one of those New York concert halls where artists go when they're right between a tiny club and the Madison Square Garden. It has a large general admission standing-room-only floor that is probably great for dancing, but unfortunately is a bad place for rock concerts.
Lots of fun if the band is good Reminds me of the Aragon in Chicago. Been here for one concert for Smashmouth and Third Eye Blind when neither one was famous yet. That is the type of acts they get. Large venue with a liquor license. Crowd can be a bit rough, depending on the band (aka mosh pit).
