Former dancehall makes excellent concert venue There is always someone interesting performing at the Roseland Ballroom. The acoustics are good, the location is convenient, and there's plenty of room to mosh and jump around to your favorite artists. You can even rent the place for large parties and events (but it'll cost you).
Lots of fun if the band is good Reminds me of the Aragon in Chicago. Been here for one concert for Smashmouth and Third Eye Blind when neither one was famous yet. That is the type of acts they get. Large venue with a liquor license. Crowd can be a bit rough, depending on the band (aka mosh pit).
Small, dirty, poorly organized, and liars This place is bad: Small, dirty, and poorly organized. I called Roseland Ballroom on the day of the event to ask about camera policy. They told me absolutely no cameras. I asked, "Not even disposable or point and shoot cheapies?" Angry Roseland Voice: Absolutely no cameras will be allowed into the venue tonight." Sure enough, we show up and everyone with a camera, even larger professional quality ones, is being allowed in. It was not worth the trip - see your favorite band somewhere ... read more
Let's rock This place rocks. No seats to get in your way, everyone pays the same price and you don't have to push anyone or jump up and down to see the stage. Don't feel like standing? Sit on the carpet lined side where it's comfy. Great place to see your favorite band because it's not too big, and it's easy to get to the front.
Good venue I like the fact that the stage is very high up that way even if you're in the back you can see just fine. I also like the seating on the side against the wall for those who don't wish to stand. The sound isn't the best, but other than that, it's awesome.
No vibe for rock'n'roll Roseland is one of those New York concert halls where artists go when they're right between a tiny club and the Madison Square Garden. It has a large general admission standing-room-only floor that is probably great for dancing, but unfortunately is a bad place for rock concerts. There is a line of soft seats lininng the walls on the sides of the stage. Again, probably great for a dance party - but if you're there for a concert, you have to seat on the back of the seats to see anything over the heads ... read more
roseland the first time i went to the roseland was a couple years ago to see alice cooper on halloween night, it was a blast not only were the tickets cheap enough there really isnt a bad spot in the place.
George Strait 1/29/11 - Tampa George Strait, Reba and Lee Ann Womack January 29, 2011 concert. It was awesome - the best I have to in forever. Loved the crowd, and the show. Mr. Strait always draws a very nice crowd and very respectable. I have been in the stands before but this time managed floor seating and I will never go back. It was great - as is the man. Hope he adds some more tours up north as I am a travel nurse and I plan my assignments around his tour :)) Forgot to add Ticketmaster did right by me:))
ALWAYS GO TO A TICKETMASTER TICKET CENTER Do not EVER order tickets from Ticketmaster ON LINE OR OVER THE PHONE. ALWAYS go to a Ticketmaster Outlet. They give better service, you leave with tickets in your hand, you get to see what tickets are available before purchasing, AND THEY ARE CHEAPER!!!. AND YOU GET BETTER SEATS.
Ticketmaster has a 3 star rating with 2 reviews.
Ticketmaster is closed now. It will open tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
