Dr. Melnick is an incredibly understanding and responsive medical professional. I had my thyroid removed last year due to cancer and have seen multiple doctors...none of which listened to me or was willing to work with me to resolve my intense tiredness and anxiety. Seen for thyroid/Hashimoto's treatment. For 15 years I have seen countless doctors, who ignored my complaints of severe symptoms that persisted despite taking synthetic thyroid medication, who had no idea of the autoimmune nature of Hashimoto's, who literally said that this "is my life now and get used to it." Dr. Melnick listened to how I felt and took this into account when discussing results and medication. He reviewed all the results with me and made sure I understood.
When I had my last visit with Dr. Melnick I felt that we reached a milestone in my care. My hasimotos symptoms have resided due to the proper dose of medication. This is the most comfortable that I have ever been with a doctor, and this is coming from someone who hated going to the doctor. I did not feel rushed, Dr.Melnick is a very caring doctor.
Since i have started treatment with Dr Melnick my quality of life has improved tremendously. He diagnosed me correctly and provided appropriate treatment when no other doctor could understand what is wrong with me for many years.
