What is the point of coming to the hospital and getting discharged in the middle of the night if the hospital is unwilling to provide taxi slips to those who are unable to get a ride or even take the bus ! It should be a right to be able to get home right away after discharge instead of waiting 3 hours for someone to wake up and then come and get you.

My son broke 3 bones in his leg , tore his ACL and shattered his knee he was admitted into the hospital yesterday saying hes going for surgery at 10pm nurse came in said no surgery tonight its tomorrow we'll today comes around same thing at 730pm no surgery tomorrow now . We'll my son has schizophrenia, bi polar and a global.delay , he cant be sitting in pain like he is . Not 1 single nurse has come to check on him in 4 hours. I am not a happy mother at all. This hospital is the worst hospital in the world.

The most disgusting and atrocious hospitals around. Going to the emerg is an absolute gong show. You can't even be sick to go to this place and be taken care of. Being admitted, having insurance and wanting just a bed is horrendous. They throw you in a room that isn't meant to actually be a room... read more

While this hospital struggles like so many others with ‘hallway medicine’, low variety of treatment options given its resources, and staff shortages, in my experience it’s also very ill equipped to handle surgery mishaps. After I woke up from surgery, I was told that they had complications because the scans done were wrong. The point that frustrated me was that the ultrasound technician lied, perhaps to protect themselves, that I was uncooperative and rude which resulted in not a good reading. It’s an easy lie because of my ... read more

We waited in Terrace Bay for 3 nights and 4 days to get a room, and then stayed 2 nights in Thunder Bay. Nurse MEERA in 3C, shout out to you girl! Did an excellent job. Her kindness, compassion, and outstanding service truly meant so much to us. She was attentive, caring, and very supportive throughout our stay. When the doctor explained that my husband did not need surgery, he explained everything clearly and in a very reassuring way, which gave us peace of mind. Because of the bad weather, we were not able to go home right... read more
