Throttle and thrive gave me a chance to heal. Given the extreme circumstances of emotional pain I was in, it was the BEST place for me. At the time, I didn’t have the bandwidth to make decisions that prioritized my mental health, and throttle and thrive was there for me in ways beyond measure. Making that phone call to Shavonne saved my life.

Throttle & Thrive is a great program to force change. Make no mistake, this isn't an easy program to goof off in or just get through. If you're serious about making mental health and/or substance abuse changes in your life, this is the program for you. With a maximum limit of six clients in the program at a time, you'll get more individual attention and feel more inclined to share your story and begin your healing process. Complete HIPPA violations as well as employer manipulation to keep a patient and notwithstanding total disregard of California code of patients rights to itemized billing information. Phone calls to patients employers to give non licensed medical advise to a patients need to stay as well as threaten patients loss of job if they leave. I came to Throttle and Thrive (from Michigan) not on my own decision initially. I knew I had (always will have the struggle as one will learn when going down the road to recovery) a drinking problem. In fact I became seemingly too good at it! I was in denial of course. As I said my issue was the drinking however other first responders can be helped if they suffer from narcotics or other controlled substances.
