If I could give it a zero I would. I had a counselor I was working with at the Littleton office. She gave notice that she was going to leave Thriveworks for a different area of mental health care. She was not allowed to inform her caseload before Thriveworks sent out emails and started calling clients to book them with someone else. Looking at things from a safety standpoint, had someone been in crisis, this news coming from an email and a very impersonal sales person could have had life altering repercussions. It was hard talking about old memories that really hurt but honestly... You don't think it's going to help until it's over then you're glad you did it. It's sad that now a days you have to pay someone to listen to you but, it really REALLY helped me and I already have another session scheduled. I'm glad I finally went. As a man that was raised by you WW2 Veteran you think it's weakness going to a therapist but sometimes you really need it.
Good, I want to not feel so guilty and hurt all the time. Feeling empowered to take on hard stuff this next week.
