My partner and I had a 3:00 PM appointment today. I was scheduled for a routine exam and cleaning, and my partner was scheduled for a cleaning. We did not get called in until 3:35 PM, and by the time they finished with me it was already 4:30 PM. That made my partner about 1 hour and 30 minutes late. If the office could not accommodate two people at 3:00, they should have been upfront instead of trying to squeeze us in. Friendly and all (except the front desk gentleman) but I didn’t like how long it took to get the cost of my dental procedure (root canal & crown) and the high cost. Was given less than a days notice of the cost when I asked 1-2 weeks before. Edit 2/11/2026: visited another dentist recommended by a family member and was told I didn’t need the procedure (root canal & crown) that Thrive wanted to do. Saved around $6000 not having to pay for the root canal and crown.
I previously left a glowing 5 star review on Zocdoc and I unfortunately need to correct it here. That first review was written immediately after my first appointment, before I left the office. Less than an hour after I got home from that appointment the temp crown I had installed came out. I did nothing outside of the care instructions I recieved, only drank some water and had a small snack, being sure to chew on the opposite side of my mouth. This is strike one. Dr Sekhon is truly a talented dentist. I went in to have an implant started for a right rear molar. SHE WAS AMAZING. She and her assistant made the procedure go by seamlessly and virtually pain free. Dr. Sekhon is caring and works very hard for the right results. I highly recommend her and her staff at Thrive Dental in Santa Clara, CA!!!
