After dropping off my car to get brakes looked at, assuming I'd need new pads & rotars, after I was finally able to get ahold of them due to them not being open on the weekends, they informed me that I'd need almost $700 worth of repairs & my car, due to it's old age, wasn't even worth putting all that money into. So, I took it to a mechanic friend of mine & after buying the brake pads & one rotars, he was able to get me back on the road for $60 plus $180 I paid for the parts. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone but especially if you have an older car. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed.

My truck had an awful sounding exhaust leak. Another mechanic told me it was a bad doughnut flange and quoted $100 to fix. Thrifty Muffler pointed out that my particular truck's exhaust system didn't even have a doughnut flange, and that the problem was only just a few loose, rusted bolts that required some torch heat to get tightened down again to stop the leak. $10 to fix at Thrifty. Done in less than 15 minutes! Awesome.
