Reserved a car 3 day ahead then go to the airport and they are closed, ugh. Had to scramble to get another car and thank God Enterprise came through. This was my first and last time ever using Thrifty car rental since they have no regard for their customers. Be aware they will leave you hanging.

Rented a truck for a fishing trip. Brand new truck with 200 miles. Went home to load up truck wouldn’t start electronic issue in shifter know. Called Thrifty and Hertz and they say I have to pay for it to be towed to the airport even though the truck is faulty. They Wanted to upsell the Roadside Assistance package. I got all kinds of words right now. I think I’ll just keep them to myself. But I will not be renting from Hertz or Thrifty again.

Horrible service had a car booked for a while there and waited over three hours just to get the car . And ended up leaving with no car because there was no sings of getting the car anytime sooner than another hour

This review includes Thrifty, Hertz, and Dollar rental car at the Chattanooga airport. it’s all the same company despite which brand you use. The positives: (A) Two of the current staff are exceptionally helpful, polite, professional, and customer-oriented. (B) they often have the lowest rates, but buyer beware. See below. (C) they have the lowest security deposit hold on your credit card ($200. Versus $400 for Enterprise/Alamo/National, and $300 for Budget/Avis). Thrifty at TYS was utterly useless. It isn’t so much the fact that they refused to honor our reservation (made weeks in advance) or that every other company at the airport was booked, but how rude/dismissive/unhelpful the man at the counter was.
