Room was okay, but my advice is that maybe you guys have a better communication system with the housekeeping staff. I was asleep around 8:30am (checkout is 11) and I heard my door close. The security latch that I had put on was moved when I checked. I wasn’t positive of what I had heard, so I went back to bed and then got up about half an hour later to go to the bathroom and then the door opened and shut again. With the security latch moved. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel if you can. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The hotel had a very unpleasant smell throughout the property, and the overall cleanliness and atmosphere were far below what I expected. The customer service was also extremely poor. One of the biggest issues was with the room access cards. Once you leave the hotel, the cards stop working, and there was no one available to help provide a new card or resolve the issue. My stay at Thriftlodge Edmonton was okay overall. The location was convenient and the staff were friendly. The room was decent for a short stay, but cleanliness and maintenance could be improved. Overall, it’s a budget-friendly option, but there is some room for improvement.

Our fridgefreezer couldnt close as it had built up with so much ice so they brought another bigger one within the hour but said if we were staying for a smaller amount of time they wouldnt have done anything about it. Uh...whaaat? The stay was a week and we needed the fr fr combo but wouldnt accomodate us if it was a shorter stay? Not good The fridge had to be thawed anyway and was useless as it was not cold. The place was d i r t y !!
