Former resident, teacher are helpful certain staff members are great, as well as the assistance from SOME therapists. However, overall I would not recommend to others due to majority of staff. examples are calling residents curse words that LOWER self esteem (i.e. fat a$$, idiot, crybaby), refusing to allow people to use the restroom (my first night there), "restraining" residents to the point of nearly breaking their bones, refusal of seeing the nurse when injured(personally happened), and refusal of mandated phone calls. Bad place to go to for help.I was a resident there for 2 years in 2012.Staff are very racist and will actually hurt you if you make them mad.Staff are very untrustworthy and are not professionally fit to work there.Not only the staff and supervisors are bad the other residents are just as bad with everyone having their own behavioral issues.A lot of bullying from staff to.Also no cameras in the bathrooms and bedrooms.(Hint) More problems Also came up when I graduated there.Heard from a former resident myself. Do not send your children here. Overall facility needs upgrading. RC staff are friendly and do their best by the kids. However, do to ever changing rules and low pay, great care cannot be guaranteed. DO NOT WORK HERE. April Barber is a sorry excuse for a supervisor and should be fired. She lacks professional and interpersonal skills.
