I have used Thred Up for years - never a complaint. Now I have been trying to reach them. The phone number does not work, automated response on email with no contact afterwards. The links are not helpful. I went to order something and then deleted it, but it took my bonus points away. I tried their online Facebook chat and hung on all night with no response. If I was in San Francisco I would go knock on their door
They sell stained things as "like new". Everything is overpriced for what it is, and most brands are cheap quality like old navy or forever 21. Save the carbon footprint of shipping trash to your door and shop at local thrift stores.
I can't really understand all of these bad reviews because I love thredUP. I have ordered over 200 times from them and sent in over 20 bags of clothes. No–the payouts aren't high, but it is sooo convenient and great to know that anything not accepted will be responsibly recycled and not go straight to the landfill. The quality of the items you buy is clearly described on the description pages. They sometimes sell clothes with flaws or small stains at a steep discount.
