Incredibly kind people who genuinely are trying to help others restore and maintain the beauty and history of their homes. Three of their staff, including their CEO, took the time to personally put me through an individual class on window restoration, and provided me with a starter kit, for what amounted to very likely the cost of the materials. They are obviously in this because they love their craft and helping others. These are the kind of people you want to entrust with your home. Their heart is in it.
I was happy with the workmanship. There were a couple of punch list items and I got basically a "tough beans" response. That was the only downer. Update: the Storm Window Manager contacted me with a plan to correct the items. For the sake of clarity, one of the items was related to original plan design, and was not a flaw in the workmanship. We were very pleased with the work done by the Thoughtful Craftman & we would not hestitate to reach out to them again! We bought our 1946 house 20 years ago & tried to fix the top of the columns, but the old plaster would crumble. We also had rotting wood & birds that kept making nests. We needed someone with more time & experience so we could keep the original look of our home. They did a wonderful job & everyone that we worked with was great! We would highly recommend!
