Not the best school around. The administration seems to think they have a pretty great school. The majority of the staff members don’t have much respect for the students and as a result there isn’t much respect for the teachers. Also way too focused on sports! Do they even have a good football team? They do have a really great French teacher though. Grace Elbon is a wonderful teacher. From my kids personal experience this was just not the best environment for learning.

Thoreau was definitely one of the best schools in Tulsa when former principal Tom Padalino was there. The administrative staff now is horrible, they hang up on you, you can never talk to the manager. Teachers take them all equally, everyone pays for one. When my son explains that he didn't do anything, they don't believe him and why should I believe a stranger (teacher, director) when they tell me that my son is disrupting class, just because they have a title.
