The poorest excuse for a professional funeral home I have had contact with. Having served as pastor for over 45 years and preforming hundreds of funerals, this home was the worst. The procession to the cemetery was disorganized at best, leaving most of the family including the mother of the deceased on the parking lot. With most of us from out of town we had to go inside in the office to ask where the cemetery was located.The commital was ready to begin when I stopped it so the family could come and find their seats. My Mother died on June 3, 2011. We chose Paul Thomas. It was a mistake.1. We mentioned about a dozen times that we wanted the obit placed in the Joplin Globe. The Miami paper was never mentioned. Mom knew nobody in Miami. Paul Thomas put the obit in the Miami paper and one was never put into the Joplin Globe. Paul Thomas charged us \$110 for this mistake on their part.2. Flowers from two different people were delivered to the funeral home, but placed in the hall way outside of Moms room. When Mom was moved to the cemetery fo... read more

My family and I were very pleased with the experience we had with Paul Thomas Funeral Home from start to finish, they were patient, caring and made sure that we didnt have to be concerned with anything.My fathers death was unexpected which made it worse...we were grieving and trying to make arrangements at the same time.
