Dr. Buttke is one of the kindest, caring dentists you will ever meet. His gentle manner makes you feel comfortable and very well cared for. I had a root canal and the next day my face was not swollen and I could press on the outside of my cheek without experiencing any soreness let alone any pain. Everyone is different and experiences different levels of discomfort. I have dental anxiety & this was not the place for me. The receptionist that answered the phone was extremely rude when I was trying to explain pain I was having from a root canal done. She was extremely unprofessional. I’ve had root canals done previously with no issues. This particular root canal was horrible. I was in extreme pain afterwards. If you have any dental anxiety, I would not recommend this office.
6 reviews 5.0 star rating 2/24/2017 I have a VERY low threshold for pain in my mouth. I never felt the Novocain shots, or the drilling, or the filing... honestly, I didn't feel ANYTHING. NOTHING! It's just unheard of. The procedure was yesterday afternoon, and I woke up with ZERO PAIN. I cannot say enough about how please (and relieved) I am. Don't be afraid if you have to go. Trust me on this!
Dr. Buttke is not only an excellent Endodontist, he is also a very fine human being. If you are his patient, you feel as though he and his staff genuinely care about you and have your best interest at heart. He is always willing to go the extra mile for you, and that is what separates him from the other dentists out there. During your root canal he makes a seemingly frightening procedure tolerable by walking you through what he is doing and constantly checking on you to make sure you're ok.
