I have seen several counselors in the area and Dr. Shoaf surpassed them immeasurably. Not only did he accurately diagnose my issues...he took the face to face time so many counselors avoid. Highly recommend this doctor.
Great doctor for my son – My son has had trouble with emotional. When we have tried to get him help, doctors don't seem to understand his difficulties. Dr. Shoaf got my son in quickly and was able to relate to him easily. We finally got a diagnosis that fits my son's symptoms. Great with Children and Parents too – As a mental health provider, I am always looking for a good doctor to refer to, especially a psychiatrist that works with children (and adults) who is a great doctor who works well with patients and families. Sleep issues – After I sought help from several doctors, Dr. Shoaf took the time to understand the issues related to my sleeping problems. After a careful and thoughtful review and analysis he was able to prescribe a medication that I take nightly, without side effects and allowing me to get a good night's sleep.
Great Doctor and Wise Counselor! – Dr. Shoaf saw our son during a very trying time he recently had in high school. He helped him with a very difficult situation, providing calm during a period of tension and anxiety. He helped us as parents, too. We are indebted to him.
