I was very disappointed with this office. The staff is very unfriendly. They just want to get your money. They will overcharge if you are not careful. You will get checked for one tooth and they will charge for two. So be careful and ask questions about what they are doing if you decide to go here. secretary is very rude. I had heard good things, but after trying it I felt I was robbed. They messed up my post and crown. They started with filling and then told me to go for a root canal to a different office. My husband and I have been seeing Dr Shields for over 4 years now and we love going to the dentist - as much as one could love a visit to the dentist, I suppose. I had some negative experiences with other dentists in Ithaca, and was so glad to find Dr Shield's office. His staff are extremely friendly and the hygienists are great. We highly recommend them!
Dr. Shields is an excellent dentist. I have been going to his office for more than 20 years and have only had good experiences. He and his staff are friendly and professional. Dr. Shields does a great job of explaining treatments to his patients and helping them to be as comfortable as possible. He stays up-to-date on technology, tools, and procedures. The office also runs on time and I have never waited long before being taken back for my appointment, which is a huge plus.
