Dr Pitts is a nice man, but as others have pointed out he is often late and it is like pulling teeth to get test results from him - it takes calls and emails and weeks to hear back, and he seems very unconcerned when test results are not good. (Why?? I have never had this problem with another doctor). I feel like I’m basically my own endocrinologist at this point, and I’m tired of trying to get my results in a timely manner so I’m going to go elsewhere. His staff are very nice.
Doctor, my appointment with you today was at 9am. By 9:30, I left. Why? Because I will not pay to see somebody who doesn’t respect me. Respecting an appointment time is respecting a person’s time, which in turn is respecting the person. I find being this late (and likely more by the time you actually made it to me) IMPOSSIBLY rude. Why is it so impossible for doctors to be respectful of other people’s time? Don’t get me wrong, by end of day I expect a bit of lateness, but this is early morning. Very thorough and knowledgeable! I recently moved out of state but will continue to travel back for my appointments with Dr. Pitts because of the great experience I have had.
My experience with Dr. Thomas L. Pitts was a great one. I was with Dr. Pitts for 20 years. I just decided to come from downtown area. The care was worth the travel.
