Initially, I would have agreed whole-heartedly with the other reviewers. When I met Dr Quinn, he was personable and likeable, answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. He gave me an epidural and three nerve blocks for a partial knee replacement. When I was in the recovery room, I still had no feeling in my lower leg but was assured that was normal. Dr Quinn is one of the best anesthesiologists for orthopedics. Because of his precise understanding of me and my body, I was able to walk on my knee after partial knee replacement immediately. He explained what nerves he would block and showed me where. Some Drs block too much or too many nerves and no matter what you do you cannot move your leg and your rehab takes much longer. This is the best anesthesiologist I have had yet. I had meniscus replacement and explained that I had relapsing remitting MS. He explained to me why he was going to give me a nerve block and propafol. He was extremely kind - patient and qualified . If you’re lucky enough to get him - you’ll be just fine and wake up in great shape.
Such a caring, good-natured, and skilled physician! Dr. Quinn was my anesthesiologist for a recent surgery at HSS and he immediately made me feel comfortable and relaxed with his sense of humor and bedside manner. He took the time to explain all of the pain medication he would be using throughout the surgery and answered all of my questions thoroughly. He did the same thing in the OR and I have no complaints with how he handled the anesthesia or my pain management. I'm so lucky to have had him on my surgery!
