Very nice park with very large oak trees that drape down to the ground. There are benches around and big lawns. The historic building is well kept and a joy to look at. Robert Frost stayed here during the 1930s when it was the Thomas Hotel and he’d spend winters in Gainesville and gave lectures at UF. From there he’d visit Marjorie Rawlings at her farm in Cross Creek.
