Doctor seems good but staff and scheduling is horrible. My dad had an emergency procedure at the hospital where it was found that he had a cancerous tumor in the bladder. (This was in late-mid September) Needed to have a follow up within 1 month. I called promptly to schedule this follow up. It was scheduled for him to see Dr Calvert at his Montebello office. The WORST "doctor" EVER!! After showing up 15 minutes early to my appointment at their Los Alamitos location, I was told that the staff called me to reschedule because the doctor wasn't available for the appointment I scheduled 2 months prior. I told them I never received a phone to reschedule but I did get one confirming my appointment. The front desker then said I could go to their Lakewood office and be seen there. I arrived at 3:15. Worst Drs office ever. I went to both two of his locations. Dowtown Long Beach, and Lakewood. Both had horribly front desk receptionists. My first visit took over an hour and forty five minutes to see Thomas Calvert. The second appointment took over an hour. Poor bedside manner, and wrote me a prescription that wasn't covered. I have a appointment with Dr Thomas Calvert the September 19,2025 but unfortunately the staff handling the appointment Hangup before she could tell me the time and so I called back and now no answer very rude.
Dr. It's fine . It's the desk staff that is bs. Also the phone no one picks up or returns calls.
