Had a great experience with Thoma Electric. Had service Electrician Lonny come out to replace a light fixture on my ceiling. Lonny was prompt, friendly and an all around great person. He had the light fixture done in no time. Great company and great personnel!
A hairdryer that I had been using for nearly 2 years suddenly tripped a GFCI outlet, and generated a strong burnt plastic smell. I called Thoma Electric the next day and Jason Garcia came out the same day. It turned out the GFCI unit was badly burnt (see photo); I was one step away from an electrical fire that could have destroyed my home. Jason quickly replaced the burnt unit, then explained that my 2,000 watts hairdryer (commonly sold these days) generates a 16+ amp current that overloaded my 15 amp circuit. We lost one leg of power to our mobile home over President’s Day weekend. Since the problem was related to the service pedestal and not our electrical panel our park manager called Thoma Electric to troubleshoot and repair the problem. John arrived ahead of the scheduled time and thoroughly diagnosed the issue until all necessary repairs were made.
