Their HELOC loan process is inefficient. The website requires unnecessary steps to access your HELOC, making navigation cumbersome and poorly designed. Many banks offer a seamless experience, but this one does not. I recommend choosing another bank and plan to close this HELOC when it matures.
I applied for both a bridge and purchase loan with Third Federal and had a very smooth experience from start to finish. Andrea was my loan officer and was very responsive and professional throughout the whole process, and the interest rate was the lowest I could find in the current market. I would recommend Third Federal for anyone looking to purchase a home.
Sure you can open and fund a CD Account online, but to cash out you have to call and be placed on hold. Then the only way to cash out is via a check mailed to you. You can't cash it out at a local branch. You certainly can't have it transferred it to the bank you funded the CD with that would be too convenient and we can't have that in the year 2024. If they can't handle simple savings products online I wouldn't trust them with anything else of importance.

I don't recommend this bank to anyone. I have a HELOC with 3rd Federal and had a CD. Upon opening the CD, I was told that none of Columbus location can collect deposits??? This should have been informed online or by mail so I don't drive to Lewis Center location and finding out that they CAN'T do it. When CD matured, I did not know how I am supposed to close my CD since Columbus locations unable to process this simple task.
