Went to the embassy dinner and it was great. A few days ago went to Potomac “cruise”. Horrific. Boat had spiders. Small and overcrowded. Drinks were gross and $5 or $10. Boat looks like a couple of guys started it and did not think through it. Boat was horrible. Just went up and down Potomac and the view was Not good.

Would not recommend Things To Do DC based on my experience at their “Embassy Experience / Black Tie Day of the Dead Fiesta.” We paid $153 per person, including an additional $60 VIP dinner upgrade, expecting a polished cultural event consistent with the advertising. This felt like nothing more than a Halloween keg party run by college kids at best and mostly, cultural appropriation. 1. We purchased the “VIP” tickets that included a dinner buffet. Dinner (an extra $60 charge per person) was blended up avocados that were trying to be guacamole, tortilla chips, beans, rice, chicken tinga, picadillo, cheese quesadillas, and some mushy corn & poblano pepper dish. There wer... read more
