My sister inlaw died last night. We waited for hours in ICU before her body was picked up. ER doctor had to take the ventilator off. She wad getting stiff and family decided to leave. Sometimes it can take 8 hrs before it's done. THIS IS DISRESPECTFUL TO THE FAMILY

I’m unsure about how triage decisions are made in the ER, but I would appreciate clarification on patient prioritization. A 31-year-old with recurring episodes of sudden circulatory instability and worsening symptoms over several days was given a several-hour wait without more urgent evaluation or closer monitoring. Given the nature of the symptoms, I was concerned about the level of urgency assigned and would like clarification on how situations like this are assessed in the ER.

Do NOT go to this ER! You will be there for a day. Both my parents were in the ER in May 2026. My dad was there (on a stretcher) for EIGHT HOURS during a cardiac event while waiting for a hospital bed. My mom is currently here now and it’s going on the TENTH HOUR on a stretcher while waiting for a hospital room. What the hell?! Also — if you’re alone you’d better have an advocate because the nurses seem overworked (although helpful).
