Dr. Theodore Wells is an excellent gastroenterologist. I was evaluated for reflux with a fm h/o barretts esophagus. Dr. Wells listened and explained everything clearly. I appreciated how thorough the visit was. He walked me through the treatment plan and answered the questions that i had. I would recommend Dr. Wells as an exceptional gastroenterologist.
So first time I seen him he was RUDE and pretty much cut me off and dismissed me until I kinda snapped so boom does a colon scope and endoscopy found out I wasn’t lying . Second time I seen him he flat out told me “he refused to do anything any further because im too young (im 30) to have any problems smfh .
I was having lower G.I. symptoms, including rectal bleeding. I went to this man he insisted I needed a colonoscopy, which was fine, but he also insisted I needed an endoscopy, even though I had already had one done and it was fine. He tried to convince me that there was some problem that there wasn't. I went through with the scans. He claims he found nothing. For your own medical and mental health, stay away from Dr. Wells! Been a patient for 25 years, dutifully trying to cope with my gut issues, even when I told him my gut reacts to psyllium and methyl cellulose powders. I stopped taking fiber because it made me sicker. He repeats 'FODMAP' diet. Has no good remedy. Three months ago he wanted me to come in do yet another scope. "I've been going to Dr Wells for 7yrs. He is by far the best GI I have ever had. He treats my Crohns disease and has kept me healthier than any other GI. He listens, he talks to you as a human not a number. You see Him everytime, not a PA or NP. He does not rush you. He will call you at home on a weekend if needed. His staff is wonderful with questions and returning calls. Very caring when I've been out of sorts. I recommend Dr Wells 100%. He failed to me several times. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone.
This man performed my colonoscopy. Removed a large polyp and took biopsies. He ignored questionable pathology that my doctor said wasn’t good. He ignored the size of the polyp and said “see you three years”. My doctor said this isn’t right. I need to have another scope in a year. Wells’ documentation was so poor my doctor isn’t sure what to make of it and to be safe I need to scoped again. It was an absolute waste to allow Dr. Wells to perform my colonoscopy.
Dr Wells was so helpful! He finally got me feeling like me again! Thank you Dr Wells!
