Over the last 5 years I have had a number of surgeries and as a result have worked with many Doctors. Dr McRackan is easily one of my favorites. His bedside manner and personality is the best and he is good at explaining complex situations. On top of all that...he is extremely talented at what he does and we are lucky to have him here at MUSC.
Dr. McRackan and his team at MUSC are amazing. From my first appointment to surgery to post op their care was excellent but each member was also so compassionate and kind. Thank you!
Had a procedure done by McRackan June 13th 2022, it was previously supposed to be done by Dr. Lambert but something had come up they told me. I had a stapedectomy revision done and almost 48 hours later was rushed to the er after having what was every symptom of a stroke. Lost 85% vision in my right eye and some mobility on the right side as well. I am now almost completely deaf in my right ear at the age of 21 years old. I can NOT say enough about my experience. From my encounter with the greeters to the front desk staff, I felt welcomed and well cared for. Dr. McRakan was kind, professional, informative and made me feel like I was in GREAT capable hands. I did not feel rushed or made to feel like I was wasting his time. Thank you for a great experience and looking forward to my upcoming surgery.
Dr. McRacken is a true professional. I go out of my way to visit him because he has always shown a sincere care for not just my child, who has hearing loss, but also me and my most recent episode with an earache.
