If I could give this company no stars I would. We went with Wormald as we were told they were one of the best non-custom builders in Maryland. I love my home, but their workmanship is awful. First, we had a leak in our roof due to the fireplace outbound pipe not being sealed correctly. This was just a month or so after the warranty period, but we still had to argue to get someone out to look at it. Purchasing our new home with Wormald was a truly exceptional experience. Courtney and Corey ensured that everything proceeded seamlessly, providing assistance at every step of the process. The entire team is outstanding! We love our new home!!!
I got the same issue today than my Neighbour . It is a mistake from Wormald but they do not want to take responsibility of it. They forgot to insulate the pipes! Yep. I did. Did it flood your second floor? It was determined ($900 later) that Wormald did not insulate the out side spigot in the wall and the pipe froze and burst over the winter. I correctly winterized the faucet, but Wormald ran my pipe in a Z formation so water sat in pipe, froze and burst the pipe. So fricking annoying. They didn’t want to pay for repairs, ... read more
Wormald houses look fine from the outside. However, the paper thin walls between the townhouses are problematic. You hear neighbors every footstep, when they open and close kitchen/bathroom cabinets and doors, walking up and down the stairs, music and tv/movie use. It’s so bad many neighbors are considering reselling and finding a better constructed property. I’ve encountered townhomes that cost much less and have better sound/noise barrier infrastructure. I don’t recommend anyone purchase a Wormald constructed townhome.
Unsafe. Fire hazards in electric wiring uncapped and hidden in ceiling boxes. Roof unsafely constructed and leaking. And absolutely no response or recourse after reaching out multiple times. Beware and avoid. Update: Wormald team has reached out to repair the roof issue. Currently in progress to fully repair. Update 2: Roof issue repaired.
