I originally booked one week at The Woods Cottages & Cabins in Guerneville. I ended up staying 3 months. That says a lot. The Woods gave me exactly the Gay Summer Camp experience I was hoping for: relaxed, social, body-positive, gay-forward, warm, and surrounded by nature. It is LGBTQ+ welcoming and open to all open-minded adults, but the guest culture is very much gay-forward in the best Russian River way. This is a great LGBTQ+ hotel in the middle of Guerneville. Located just steps from Main Street this cozy inn is perfect if you are looking to stay close to the action. The pool and premises are clothing optional so don’t be shy. The owner and staff are so nice and friendly. You can also get a day pass for the pool if you like.
