Let's be honest here. It wasn't that great. The food was good the service was good with the exception of the waitress not explaining that if you get the early bird special you save a dollar but you get way less potatoes. Not even enough to say you had 3 bites! And when we got are bill it was almost $37! The bacon was considered a side order so 2 sides of bacon was almost $10. No joke. Sorry we couldn't leave a tip after paying for this breakfast. Would we go there again...probably not.
We were in Stevens Point for an event and tried The Wooden Chair mainly because they advertised a brunch. Boy am I happy we did. The food was amazing and the server was great. Huge portions all perfectly cooked. They had told us a 15 min wait and it was spot on which was nice also.
Food and service were so awesome! The decor is very comfy and cool! I can't wait to go back!
My first time eating here on a weekday for brunch was great! The place was spacious and the decore was filled with pictures of days past. The service was warm and quick. The food was delicious and consisted of wraps and waffles. I'd definitely go again, and would recommend this place if you don't mind the big portions.
My Girlfriend and a were visiting her Son who attends college in town. We hiked the Schmeekle Reserve trails then had lunch at The Wooden Chair. Totally enjoyed the service our lunch, and the atmosphere. The wood stove and delicious coffee were the perfect combination to warm up:)
I had a breakfast omelette it was amazing, the service was exceptional. The place was very busy but we got waited on right away!
