We booked reservations twice this week and both times we showed up and they were closed. It even said online (google) that they were open. I also called their phone number but no one answered or even called me back. Terrible experience.
We came to Oakville to specifically try The Wine Bar because it looked great! They said they were open on a Friday night so we tried to walk in at 7pm and they were completely closed. We tried again at 9:30pm and they weren’t open. I think if a business says they’re open, they should be.
I am quite disappointed - I really wanted to like this spot. We have not yet tried it food- and drink-wise. However, this rating is in reference to the customer service. We were booked for 6:00pm on a Saturday, and when we arrived, the wine bar wasn't opened despite hours listed on the front door indicating that they are open until 1:00am on Saturdays. A great place to try new wines with a team happy to explain. Huge by-the-glass selection with a focus on European, old world wines. Warm, cozy without any pretense and the live music is a bonus. Updated: now great coffee there too!
