William and Priscilla Mitten founded The Windsor Press in the basement of their home in 1958. With the aid of a small A.B. Dick offset duplicator, a typewriter, folder, collator and a small headline machine, the Hamburg Shopping Center Guide, with a circulation of 5,000 copies, was born. In 1960, a second shopping guide was published in the Kutztown Area with a circulation of 8,000 copies.
