From Day One, there have been problems. I had a sealed Oriole window in my kitchen, so called Window Source of RI. They sent out a rep to see the window and I said because of a spinal fracture I wanted a half and half window that would be easier for me to lift. Despite that, he ordered an ****** and when the installation crew showed up, I had to reject it. So a half-and-half window was installed. On 7/6/2022 I contracted with The Window Source of ** for the replacement of my bow window in my living room for a cost of $6,083.00. On 9/7/2022 they came to replace the window. When they were finished, there was a three inch at the bottom of the new window frame the whole length of the window where they had pulled the old frame out and just left it. The owner of Window Source went to the job during installation and the customer voiced her concerns. ******* told her the space difference in question under the window often happens due to the insulated seat. Per contract we do not paint and some touch up may be needed. As for the office we did not speak to the customer about the caulking until job was competed her home has stained wood protocol we use clear silicone. My experience with this company was terrible. The only reason I'm even giving them a single star is because they did show up when they said they would. Back in November, they knowingly installed defective windows in my elderly Mother's house. The snap beads on almost all of the windows were awful. Instead of lying flush against the window exterior and sash, many of the corners overlapped each other creating large gaps. I posted the same review on ****** as I am posting here I recently had 15 windows of various sizes installed to replace the replacement windows that had been installed incorrectly prior to me buying my home. This was not an easy one, two, three,it's done job. The windows were not square and a couple of them were actually installed into sheetrock and not wood frame. There is no way this business should be certified with a top *** rating. My windows were left outside for 2 months, windows were wet and full of leave debris when they installed them. When I questioned the owner about this, he answer was they were covered with a tarp (if they were it blew off early and did not get replaced, leaves were tattooed into the window they were on them so long and I had to scrub it off), and then when I questioned the owner he says hey what do you want $100 because you cleaned them. The windows were covered by a tarp our guys did clean the windows that had leaves on them. When the customer brought this the the owners attention he did offer the customer $100 for his time spent cleaning the windows (which customer refused). Both the owner and office manger did have COVID during this installation that is why the owner did not personally chek this job so our TV adds are not a lie it was medically not safe for our customer or anyone involved, and we tell the customer this when he called about his issues and ... read more
RecommendedWe had all our windows replaced on 10/7/20, having any construction done in your home is stressful but now that the dust has settled and the job is completed I absolutely LOVE my new windows! No more drafts, easy to clean, outside noise is minimal and they look great. If your looking for quality, reasonably priced windows give Richard a call.
my wife and I had our picture window replaced.by window.source. we live in east providence ri. our experience with window source was second to none. they were courteous and.professional. they were on time and very meticulous with the replacement.
