Don't Get Ripped Off Like I Did – The Window Depot is not an honest company. They rip off customers by charging a $10 a day "storage fee" for holding a single window in their half empty warehouse. If you try to argue with them about it, they will smugly point to the fine print on their purchase order form which they never give their customers a copy of or inform them about the policy verbally. Terrible, dishonest, people and company, seriously. They pride themselves on being jerks.
Dont shop here! – After last nights snow storm, I would have thought twice about buying my windows at window depot. It was freezing, the windows did not keep the cold out. I could not tell a difference between the old windows and these new ones. First thing, opened up the bathroom window, and the metal tracks fell loose. I spent 1 hour trying to figure it out, marked up the whole window, and now the window does not slide properly. What a pice of junk. What kind of circus are they running over there?
I got screwed! – Don’t be misled by bargain-basement prices for vinyl replacement windows—you get what you pay for. Cheap, low-quality replacement windows often begin to fail in just months, leaving you with high energy bills and an uncomfortable home—not to mention ongoing problems and lost performance.
You can get bad service for less – window depot is just a very dirty company to deal with. they claim "oh it happens to 1 out of every 10 customers or its only a very few ppl who have these problems"...but truth is its not just a few ppl its ALOT! and its not just isolated to one location or store its happening in ALL their stores/franchises. from my own experience in dealing with their window depot chantilly store i can assure you their service overall is really bad. perception is reality and the fact of the matter is this ... read more
I am not so happy! – I would never step foot in this place again! Talk about a pice of chit window! I had my windows replaced by champion windows 2 years after these piece of chit windows were installed. Champion windows are such a superior product its not even funny! Any of those other products are superior to window depot! Window depot is like the geo metro of windows and champion is like the lexus! Who would rather drive a geo metro than a lexus? Not me! I am so happy! – The wifey had been requesting new windows and doors for a minute. We hit up Glass Rite, Don's Windows, and Champion. We were kind of bummed because of the high pressure tactics these dudes were taking with us. Glass Rite told us only they could offer the GOVERNMENT OFFERED TAX REBATE lol (come to find out just about anyone can). con mucho cuidao (watch out!) – These windows were either made in china, or they found them in the back of the factory from 1984 and gave them to me. Really? They should put these windows in the side of a happy meal box from Mc Donalds. I could have found better windows in the 1.99 bonus basket at walmart.
good experience. – i bought my windows at Window depot about 6 months ago. They helped me get the right window and they also explained to me the difference between the glass options and how i could benefit from that in the long run. those guys were great and the windows are magnificent. i've been doing the regular maintance on them and they are worknig just fine. after reading one of the bad reviews i thought i would pitch in and let people know that the windows from this place are great for the price and that the service is... read more
