The Wildflower Barn at Little River Farms is Southern elegance with a sun-smart soul. I photographed Ashley and Dan’s August wedding here, where their outdoor ceremony shone—literally! The ceremony took place at 5pm, when the sun had dropped behind the great old oak tree, which provided most of the shade, but the venue’s team had also dotted the lawn with giant market umbrellas just in case, giving guests shady respite without dimming the romantic vibe. We had a tour of the venue scheduled for 2pm on Friday December 27th. We arrived at 1:50pm to make sure we were in the right spot. We had both taken the afternoon off work and drove an hour to see the venue. We emailed at 2:10 after seeing no one in the designated spot. We left at 2:20, finally receiving an email that the previous tour had run late and to please stay, or to reschedule. Like I would take another day off work for you to not meet your commitment.
