RecommendedRecognizing the need, Whitney Lab employees organized the Turtle Hospital and will soon begin its 5th year. WL specializes in returning to health Green Sea Turtles inflicted with a herpes virus that causes growths that eventually debilitate the animal. The source and method of transmission of the disease are unknown. As a world class research laboratory, WL is well positioned to study the problem. The Turtle Hospital operates on donations from the general public.
