I go often because I love the ambiance and food. Stopped in today for lunch with my husband. He had the lobster bisque and Cowboy mac and cheese while I had the Maurice salad with the french onion soup - so delicious! The White Horse Inn never disappoints
OK, folks, It's about an hour drive from Port Huron to Metamora and the White Horse. To be honest, after looking at the restaurants' web page I wasn't impressed. Ok, nice history, pretty building etc. but when I looked at the menu....ech. Well, we pulled in and parked. Right away you could smell the hickory burning in the huge fireplace inside. Nice. Food was excellent. Great service by Erin. Met the pastry chef. Had the chocolate cake, which we would highly recommend. Will definitely be back! Overall great experience.
We arrived on a Friday night with no reservations and were put on the list with about a 25 min wait, no problem. Sat down by the fire and had a waitress come by and get us drinks while we waited which was nice, total wait time only about 15 min which was surprising with how busy it was. Amazing food, great service, nice atmosphere. Perfect place for my husbands post deployment date night! Worth the 30 min drive from home.
The restaurant is beautiful, very inviting. The hostess put up with us turning down two open tables and waiting for the one we preferred to become available, no attitude on her part. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the servings were generous. I recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.
Excellent food and service. Love the atmosphere. Not crazy about the new horse picture over the fireplace but.....🤷♀️
Dessert by the fireplace was just lovely. Our meals was perfect and very hearty.
