I liked the atmosphere of the place a lot. My rating is only 3 because when a Guinness was dispensed from the rear bar, perhaps it isn't used as much, but it came with an off odor, which when replaced with a fresh pour from the front was clean smelling and tasty. I will visit again.
Very friendly staff, food is great. Only reason I took 1 star off is because the pints are brutal. Not a good pint at all. Us Irish love a good pint.
Posted this on twitter a little bit ago, but I’m very satisfied with how Wheeltapper handled a situation involving racism and prejudice on behalf of a patron at the bar. I was at the bar and overheard another patron spewing hatred toward the black community and making racist, prejudiced remarks about blacks and NFL players. When I confronted the man about his remarks, he raised his voice at me and continued to stand his ground in the awful things he said. One of the strongest cosmopolitans I've ever had! Therefore very good!!! Ambience was perfect setting for happy hour !👍
Warm and friendliest staff, the food is excellent. The pretzels balls and Turkey Club sooooo good. Went there for early dinner before Big East Concert went back following day for brunch. Staff remembered us, thats a good thing right! LOL We have found our place when near Grand Central. Attached to the Fitzpatrick hotel, very convient.
