I ordered a pair of 15x8 rear GM style OE steelies for my ‘68 Nova with custom backspace and powdercoat. The wheels are beautiful out of the box. Very happy!
I purchased the OEM factory wheels with a custom backspacing for a Poverty Cap. The Rims were built and delivered in a timely manner. Very pleased with their service!
Wheel Smith far exceed my expectations, the turnaround time and quality is top notch. Great communication along the process as well. The chrome finish is so good, it looks like the good old days. You won't be disappointed.
2 of the 4 wheels we received had small flaws. The stamp from the inside (a letter B) was struck with enough force to show a dent on the wheel (between the trim ring and hub cap) and the sharp metal burrs around the valve stem hole were not removed before powdercoating. Nothing major, but none the less not what I paid for. The big concern was Wheelsmith's customer service. After much resistance they told me to ship them back. DO NOT GO TO THESE GUYS!! THEY TAKE WAY TOO LONG AND OVERCHARGE.!! I went in to get new rims, trim rings, and hub caps for my 57 GMC truck and this guy Terry gave me a sheet of specs needed in order to make them. He needed back spacing and offset along with what size calipers i had put on the truck. You would think a rim shop that specializes in these things would know these answers but I guess not. So I order them in January with +/- 1month lead time. By June I still hadn't got my order and finally Terry tells me my hubcaps... read more
