I have seen 2 therapists at the Well Counseling Center so far, both of which are excellent. One has left a little while back but the other therapist my husband and I see is Ben and he has given us so much insight into our marriage. We saw him initially for a preemptive "maintenance" counseling which was recommended to us to start our marriage strong and it was great for us. These people suck. They are disrespectful. If appointment is made they should fallow through. They end up telling me it was cancelled and I had to wait there for one hour.
This is NOT a bible based counseling center, despite being affiliated with The Well church. The counselor encouraged hiding sins from others, and actively validated them rather than correcting. In 20+ sessions, the bible was never brought up once, prayer was never offered, and nothing constructive was given.
Worst counseling experience I’ve ever had! Therapist was very unprofessional and gave horrible advice with only knowing my story for a few minutes. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
First off, they never answer the phone. I've called 10 times over the course of two months and every time, I'm sent to an answering service. They also may assign you to an "associate" which is basically a student that has very little experience (500 hours which is about 3 months worth of experience). To call this a Christian Counseling center is misleading twice over; there are no counselors here (at least the person I got isn't one); counselors provide feedback and offer helpful tools.
