I can see why there’s 1 star reviews. Extremely unprofessional services. Bought a Groupon and tried to schedule an appointment. Called 8 times, left 3 voicemails and 3 texts. She didn’t get back to me til TWO weeks later. Extremely unprofessional.
I had such an incredible experience at The Wax Room. It was truly beyond anything I’ve had before. From the moment I walked in, the space felt calm, elevated, and thoughtfully curated. The atmosphere alone sets it apart, it’s peaceful, beautiful, easy to get comfortable. What impressed me most, though, was the level of care and precision. The quality of the service was unmatched. I just moved here so I used Groupon to try and find my new waxer. This was by far the worst waxing experience I’ve ever had. She lectured me on how businesses don’t make money off of Groupon, and charged me an extra $10 claiming it wasn’t included in the Brazilian (when I’ve never heard otherwise). It was super painful with relentless rips and I’m still dealing with the worst ingrown I’ve ever had from waxing. I do not recommend.
She complained the whole time that it wasn’t worth what I paid on Groupon that businesses don’t make money off it like why put your business on Groupon then? She kept asking me confrontational questions when I was clearly in a vulnerable state getting a Brazilian wax(which she didn’t complete she only gave me a bikini wax) She kept asking very harshly “What do you think I should be getting paid to do this?” I was clearly uncomfortable and confused on how unprofessional she was but she wouldn’t back down with asking. Every time I come I leave so happy! Mahi is such a sweet person who has so much experience and makes me feel comfortable when getting Brazilians! I can confidently say I will always keep coming back!
