*BUYER BEWARE* The manager of this hotel and the company Vacasa they use to manage The Washington Hotel in Port Townsend are heartless and money hungry. I’m a single mother and both my daughter and I have asthma. My daughter wanted to go whale watching and bioluminescent kayaking this summer. The closest place to whale watch is Port Townsend. It's the best parts of staying with a friend with the privacy of a hotel setting. The rooms are decorated in a warm, inviting way, with local art adorning the walls. The little snack kitchen is ideal for the late night munchies. And the location is prime, within walking distance of so many cute shops and restaurants. There's absolutely nothing I would change, and will definitely be visiting again.
I can't say enough good things. The location is ideal. The rooms are inviting from the moment you walk in. I loved the contactless check in/check out and door key pads. As a quiet person, being able to check-in without a face to face interaction is kind of perfect. The shared kitchen space was exactly what you need after a day of traveling, when you just need a snack before you put your head on the pillow. I wouldn't change a thing.
This was my second stay at The Washington and it will definitely be my go to spot when staying in Port Townsend. Very clean accommodations, but not antiseptic. Furnished with comfortable seating, local artwork, and soothing ambient lighting. The adjustable temperature felt cozy upon arrival and soft music was playing (which I kept on throughout my stay 😊).
