I went to this centre to get a second opinion on my eyes and saw Dr Roger Welch. I felt extremely uncomfortable and was not told or explained about what is going on with my eyes. Although his assistant with no people skills was told everything in front of me . His mannerism toward me was not nice and made me feel like I was a total inconvenience being there. I had a referal from my doctor for the removal of a growth in the corner of my eye which is very itchy and anoying, even a blind person can see it, plus the removal of a Pterygium on the same eye. Neither was treated but was given eyedrops for glaucoma. A quick internet search shows that one of the eyedrops should not be used for more than 10 days as it can cause glaucoma, yet I was prescribed enough for probably a month plus one repeat. Very disapointing and a waste of money.

I had right eye cataract surgery 2 weeks ago and left eye 2 days ago, Nov and Dec 2025. Every visit, pre-surgery, post-surgery and the days of both surgeries have been quick and efficient and very positive experiences. Every staff person who I interacted with during all my visits to the Vision Centre were professional and friendly. And as for Dr Welch, a true gentleman and an expert in his profession. I couldn’t recommend Dr Welch and the Vision Centre level 1 staff more highly.
I have been visiting Roger for over 20 years for cataracts, glaucoma follow up visits etc and while he has a dry sense of humour he is a fantastic professional and i will continue seeing him as necessary
