Kayla and Vintage provide a unique grooming experience in downtown Champaign. It's a warm and comfortable setting adjacent to the old Art theater. I like the vibe of the place and the downtown setting rather than a strip mall storefront. The professionalism and quality of the services are outstanding. I'm especially happy with the beard trims. I don't know about others, but this was one of most very unpleasant haircuts ever. Firstly, this is first barbershop ever seen where the customer is not permitted to view self in mirror during haircut. You are literally staring at opposite wall entire time. Only when haircut is finished then the "big reveal" where will see self in mirror. This is their standard policy. Crazy. Kayla is a true professional. I take my time looking for a good barber that meets my needs and I am happy I ran into her I enjoy trying new types of cuts, from longer hair cuts to trendy fades, and I am always pleased with how it turns out. Very relaxed atmosphere and great music.
Vintage Edge is an outstanding barber shop with a great retro vibe that really sets it apart. Patrick and Kayla are classically trained barbers who clearly take pride in their craft, and it shows. Located in downtown Champaign, it’s an easy walk for anyone working nearby, and there’s also a city parking garage right behind the shop.
