Lovely fality with a total lack of communcation. Would rate the nursing staff high. The Case management a one. I was directed by the customer service operator. How can a patient expect reply with 318 patients. Hmm PT and OT exists as a transport in and out of bed. No proactive PT or OT. Faciilty is clean.
Parents have each been to the ER this week. Mom waited 3 hrs before seen. Dad is currently waiting and it’s been 3 hrs who knows how long it will be. They said the waiting room is full. Don’t advice anyone go.
The ER is horrible!! They don’t communicate, and took forever to get medication for my dad’s pain. Waited 7 and a half hours in the ER. A few of the staff, including one in particular, were rude, impolite and should never work with the public. I’m reporting them as they did not follow the FL law of care and compassion.
Had to get transferred because our urologist was on vacation. My urologist does not have privileges there. A lot of doctors don't because they refuse to work at this hospital. After four days of the most uncaring and unprofessional care, I can see why. Hearing more and more terrible things about this hospital as I am sharing my experience with friends and neighbors in the area. I give it a 2 only because I know some of the staff try. Overall, the joint still lacks care and attention. I have had two people in this hospital in the last 3 weeks. Doctors are scarce, and IF you are luck to see one, they barely listen to your needs. YOU NEED TO BE an advocate for whomever is in this hospital. I really thought having the UF moniker would help turn things around, but alas it has not happened.
