Great location. Hotel is run down and not kept up well. Minimal service. Restaurant was closed the entire time i was there. Doors from outside left unlocked entire night. Did not feel safe. Could not even watch regular tv. Roku service so all subscription channels. Will not stay here again.
Indifferent maintenance including a broken shower door, dirty carpet, weeds growing out of the roof gutters. Close to Tanglewood if that's where you are heading.
Don’t be temped by the Convenience of location of these hotels. My family and I recently stayed at the Whitlock for a tanglewood show. Our room smelled so strongly of cigarettes and due to all rooms being full we were offered febreze as a resolution. The rooms were small and simple, no mini fridge etc yet the cleanliness was of a cheap motel. Best thing about this place is the location, which is dead center in Lenox. But it needs a lot of work, design-wise and just in terms of accommodations and amenities. Next time will probably just stay at a more standard commercial hotel. We stayed at the Whitlock which is sort of ramshackle and worn down — rather than acquiring a “collection” of three properties I think the ownership should have sunk their money into one and gutted it to bring it up to modern standards.
