RecommendedThey call this assisted living but it truly feels much more like an upscale hotel that just happens to have 24-hour care. Every time I visit, I am greeted with smiling faces. It's clean, friendly and the residents are truly happy. I have seen enough assisted living places in Dallas to know that there is something special about it. This is a great assisted living community with a family oriented style, great food, and excellent care. It feels more like a hotel where the residents are encouraged/supported to be as independent as they want and provided fun and safe activities.
This is the best community in Plano and these residents are always having so much fun. Greatest staff and caring family members. GO visit and see for yourself!
Residents may spend weeks at a time without leaving their room and their personal items may be gone through without the resident's knowledge or permission. Nice facility but not what is promised in the brochures and visits.
The Village at Mapleshade is a wonderful place. I go regularly to visit my friend. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. There are many things to do...the wine and cheese socials are the best �
Mapleshade is a beautiful facility. There are a handful of WONDERFUL staff personnel. On the other hand the turn over in staff is horrible. We are on the 3rd Director (manager) and at least the 3rd asst Director as well as countless care staff and nurses. We have sent complaints regarding many issues - including cleanliness of rooms, disposing of trash and the in accuracies of medication list. If you aren’t willing to truly advocate for your loved one this may not be the home your looking for.
A Grand place to live because there are always something to do thanks to the activists department, Lynn, Stacey and Edgar.
I used to work at the village at mapleshade before I started my homecare business. It's a lovely place to be. Very organized and clean. I miss my residents and the management team. See y'all soon.
