​Z​ERO stars. We chartered the Vida Mia for​ my Mom's ash scattering​ in early July. My entire extended family flew ​out to Hawaii for ​t​his event. The morning before the scheduled ash scattering, Brynn (the owner) called to cancel ​- informing us her boat could not sail. ​(Apparently, ​ some repairs on the boat needed to be cleared by the Coast Guard.​) We had to scramble to make alternate arrangements for my Mom's ash scattering. I am not one to write scathing reviews, however, my experience with this business was so poor I felt compelled to do so. In short, the boat never arrived at the dock for my scheduled trip and the owner made no effort whatsoever to contact me. Myself and a few other parties ended up spending over an hour at the dock waiting for a boat that, unbeknownst to us, would never arrive. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. Of all the sunset sails offered in Waikiki, we chose the Vida Mia. It is pretty obvious the boat needed repair based on responses to other reviews, however, it is the lack of communication regarding the boat not showing up, after trying to reach the owner multiple times that is not only disappointing but disheartening, especially since I spoke with the owner on more than one occasion prior to booking this cruise.

Terrible experience! My family and I traveled over 5,000 miles to Oahu and booked the Vida Mia sunset cruise. We arrived at the boat slip at 5:00 PM for a 5:15 boarding, but the boat never showed. We waited until after 6:30, leaving voicemails, texts, and emails. None were answered. Other guests did the same with no response. If I could give a zero rating, I certainly would. My family and I flew from the Northeast and booked a Sunset Cruise with The Vida Mia in May of this year for our trip the end of June. We received a confirmation email the day before that boarding would begin at 5:15pm. We arrived 5:00pm at slip 499 and left at 6:30pm since the boat never came.
